Li Qiao
The University of Hong Kong
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Hong Kong, working with Prof. Kaibin Huang (IEEE Fellow, Head of Department).
My research explores how artificial intelligence can reshape the way wireless systems communicate, with a focus on generative semantic communications, token communications, collaborative edge learning and inference, and massive IoT connectivity. I am broadly interested in building intelligent, efficient, and scalable communication paradigms for the next-generation networks. If any of these topics resonate with you, feel free to reach out.
Before joining HKU, I received my Ph.D. degrees from the Beijing Institute of Technology and the University of Surrey. At BIT, I was advised by Prof. Jun Zhang and Prof. Zhen Gao; at Surrey, I worked closely with Dr. Mahdi Boloursaz Mashhadi, Prof. Pei Xiao, and Prof. Rahim Tafazolli. I also visited Imperial College London, working with Prof. Deniz Gündüz.
